Kekse is the German word for biscuits, and is also the acronym for Kreatives Englisch für Kinder - Storytelling in English. An educational concept by Maryanne Piper, KEKSE brings language discovery and global sounds to the fore for young learners of English as a Second Language.
Fantasy & Originality.
Through live acoustic instrumental music, improvisation and movement, KEKSE takes their young audience on an English adventure that excites curiosity. Colour, music, sound and movement combine to create a sensory language experience, integrated and organic at the hands of native speakers.

Award-winning since its premiere in 2011, KEKSE has toured through Germany including theatres, schools and festivals. KEKSE is a member of ASSITEJ Germany - the internationally recognised network for children's theatre and NRW Landesbüro für Freie Darstellende Künste.
Educational Outreach.
Workshops, project weeks and mini courses can all complement your theatre experience. In addition, a mini pronunciation Workshop takes place immediately after shows. Here we practise words and rhythms together discovered during the performance. Productions are flexible, suitable for varying venues with or without needed technical support.
